As our precious Serbian society is literally crushing down under the weights of the corruption, the past six months have seen a powerful response from youth, students, and proactive citizens who have risen to defend justice and advocate for a better future through protest and civic engagement.

For the first time ever, the same crew that liberated the Student Cultural Center, were taking over the space for 48 hours of creativity, code and multidisciplinary collaboration!

SKC Game Jam was open to artists, designers, composers, and programmers—whether solo or in teams. It offered a unique opportunity for participants to experiment, learn from one another, and sharpen their skills in a vibrant, collaborative environment.

I was just a visitor, but the energy from the participating jammers made me feel great, as there was both new faces on the block working together with game jam veterans, focused on making a game based on the theme: Armchair (Fotelja).

You can try the final games HERE, which was around 20 games made (including some board games).

Congrats to Ivan Notaroš Nothke and Mihailo Bogdanović Beli for organizing this great event, empowering new people to make something creative and have fun, while also bringing student’s protests to attention.

Friends from Game Dev Guild Serbia helped a bit with recording the games presentation:
